The SouthEast Michigan Umpire Camp

The 2008 SouthEast Michigan Umpire Camp was February 22nd through the 24th, 2008.  It again was held at Livonia Stevenson High School.  If you attended the Camp, you understand these facilities and their support is great.  We would like to thank everyone who attended, supported, and instructed at this years camp.  We will be looking for even bigger and better things for 2009.  Please stay tuned to this website for future information.

Stevenson has the following facilities we use for the camp.  Our sincere thanks go out to them in their efforts to support all of us!

Hotel Accommodations

The Radisson  Livonia was our preferred Hotel.  They also hosted our dinner on Saturday night.  The Hotel is located at Six Mile Road and I275.  Its has great access to all Expressways and is located only 1 1/2 miles from Livonia Stevenson High School. 

The Radisson is a great hotel with lots of entertainment if you would like to bring your family with you for the weekend.

• The cost for the 2008 camp was $130.00 USD for non-students and $100.00 USD for students. (High School or College).  Early Bird registrations were $110.00 for non-students and $90.00 for students

• Those who attended the 2006 and/or 2007 camps were able to reduce their tuition by up to $30.00 and receive up to $25.00 worth of Gift Certificates to Honigs for referring NEW students to SEMUC.

• The camp included:

  • 2 1/2 days of instruction

  • Video of Plate work

  • Infield/Mechanic's drills

  • Interactive presentations

  • Camp t-shirt

  • Coffee/Juice/Doughnuts/Bagels Saturday and Sunday morning.

  • Lunch on Saturday

Dinner included:

• Buffet Dinner

• Soft Drinks.  (Adult beverages can be purchased at the Radisson)

• Guest Speaker-Dave Buck.  NCAA College World Series Umpire 2004, 2007
